Fixed-price · No hourly · No scope creep · 90-day warranty

Fixed-price rebuilds.
No surprise invoices.

Three tiers, three flavours of engagement. Pick the one that matches what you need. Every price below is what you'll pay — no overage clauses, no day-rate creep, no “change-of-scope” addenda.

Three tiers · pick your fit

Why fixed-price, not hourly

We sell outcomes, not hours.

The agency model rewards padding. Hours blow out, scope creeps, the deck-pitch promised more than the SOW delivers. We don't run that play.

01 · The math

AI raises the floor on speed and consistency.

Senior engineers using AI as a force-multiplier ship the same build in 30–50% of the time vs traditional hourly billing. We can quote a price up front because the productivity dividend is predictable.

02 · The patterns

250+ ships means we've done this before.

Your Klaviyo replacement isn't being invented. Your Datadog self-host isn't a research project. Pre-built patterns mean predictable cost. The unknowns are small enough to absorb in a fixed quote.

03 · The contract

If the build runs over, we eat the cost.

Our SOW caps the price. If we hit unforeseen complexity, that's our problem — not a change-order on your invoice. Real contractual cap, not weasel language.

Pricing FAQ

Common objections, answered.

What if the rebuild is more complex than your quote anticipated?
We absorb it. The fixed price is binding on us, not flexible. The 5-day Paid Audit ($2,500, refundable against build) is specifically designed to surface complexity before quoting — that's why we charge for it. By the time we quote a build, we've already inventoried the integrations, data shape, and edge cases. If we missed something material, that's our cost to bear.
What if WE want to add scope mid-build?
Signed change order. Mutual agreement on the additional cost + timeline before we start. No "let's just add it and figure out billing later" mush. You always know the running total.
What's the payment schedule?
For tool rebuilds: 40% on engagement start, 40% at pilot ready, 20% at production cutover. For combo bundles: 30/30/30/10 (engagement / first module shipped / pilot ready / production cutover). For Managed Upstream: monthly in arrears against the previous month's runtime. All on Net-30 invoices. We accept ACH, wire, or major credit cards (3% surcharge for cards).
What's NOT included in the rebuild price?
Vendor costs. AWS / Anthropic / Stripe / Twilio / Postmark bills go to your accounts directly. We never resell infrastructure. Existing-system integrations beyond what's scoped — if you want a custom integration with your in-house ERP that we didn't see in the audit, that's a change order. Bespoke compliance frameworks — SOC 2 / ISO / HIPAA-grade build is on the menu but priced separately by certification scope.
Do you offer discounts on the rebuild?
Combo bundles already discount vs buying tool rebuilds separately (saves 10–20% by sharing data layer + auth). Beyond that: no negotiated discounts, no haggling, no "limited-time pricing". The list price IS the negotiated price. We'd rather price fairly upfront than play dance-around games.
Can I cancel a Managed Upstream contract?
Yes, any month, with 30-day notice. The code is in your GitHub already (since day one of the original build). We hand off ops to your team or your new vendor with a 1–2 week transition. No exit fees, no clawback clauses, no "you can't take this code somewhere else" lock-in. The portability IS the point.
What if I'm pre-Series A and this looks too expensive?
It probably is too early. Tool rebuilds make economic sense above ~$2K/mo per replaced tool. If your full SaaS bill is under $24K/yr, stay on the SaaS — the math doesn't work yet. Use that runway for product-market fit instead. Come back when a single line item crosses $2K/mo or your stack tops $50K/yr.
What's the difference between the Paid Audit and the Free Stack Review?
Free 30-min Stack Review: senior engineer + partner walk through your top 6 SaaS lines, name the bloat, point at the 1–2 best rebuild candidates. Output: 1-page CFO memo. No fee. About 60% turn into paid work.

Paid 5-day Audit ($2,500, refundable against build): deep-dive on a specific rebuild candidate. Architecture, integration map, data shape, fixed-price quote with 90-day validity. Refundable if you proceed with the rebuild. About 75% of audits convert.

Why this number works: AI-paired senior engineers raise the floor on quality + consistency · 250+ products shipped · direct vendor billing — you keep the wrapper margin. → The full method
